Caftan comfy chic

I’m still on quarantine chic. I’m all about it now and I was super excited about this pattern, its a caftan (a super cute one as well). I’ve been researching Indie patterns more now but this was my introduction to Indie patterns a while back. It just took me a while to take pictures. It also took me a while to decide on the fabric. I was going for a “Resort SS” look and I think this mud cloth was a perfect match.

The instructions on this pattern were pretty straightforward. The only modification I did was raising the side slits a little higher than the pattern says. I’m short and it was falling under the knees so yea, it was necessary. I followed View C and did not make the straps that for the dress. I’m including the link to the website where you can find the pattern and peruse through the site to see if you find more you like below:

I styled this caftan with and obi belt and some wooden earrings I’ve picked up along the way, honestly don’t remember where and when I go them and I used a scrap piece of fabric that’s just under a yard as my headpiece. This pattern was pretty easy and I do look forward to making more. Let me know if you’ve tried this one and any other from Closet case that you have tried and recommend.

Until next time,
